About the Deva Lines
While both lines share the same 100% sulfate-free technology and are botanically drenched, DevaCare has additional Vitamin C and orange peel wax that will slow color fading. We recommend DevaCare for dehydrated, blow-fried, color treated and chemically processed curls.
DevaColor contains additional enhancing pigments for natural, color treated and chemically processed curls.
DevaColor will not change your existing color if you balance your routine by alternating DevaColor with DevaCurl or DevaCare every other time you cleanse and condition. Should you decide to use DevaColor repeatedly, you will experience a visual color shift to your existing color tone since DevaColor contains depositing pigments.
Cleansing
When changing over to Deva for the first time, use the same routine as you would with a conventional Shampoo. Once the hydration level in your hair improves, continue cleansing with No-Poo as often as necessary to feel the effects of cleansing and hydration. If you choose not to cleanse the scalp, we suggest wetting your curls and conditioning every day until the desired hydration level is achieved.
Lather has no inherent cleansing value and is a by-product of the harsh detergents found in most conventional shampoos. No-Poo is botanically drenched and 100% sulfate free with added conditioning benefits for maximum moisture retention.
No-Poo is a non-lathering, conditioning cleanser specifically designed for dehydrated curls. Low-Poo provides a mild lather that is derived from coconut.
Hydration
The fingers are the gentlest way to detangle curls without causing breakage or disturbing the curl formation. Remember, your hands came before the comb was ever invented! Distribute One Condition through the hair. Then, gently glide your fingers through your curls. One Condition will help your curls to release any tangles that might be present.
Heaven in Hair, DevaCurl's deep intense moisture remedy for excessively dehydrated curls. Use once or twice weekly allowing the hydrating botanicals to penetrate your curls . Leave on for 15-30 minutes with or without heat.
Styling
Towels are too heavy and absorbent for a gentle fabric such as hair. They cause friction and tend to leave knots in the hair. A paper towel or t-shirt will provide a flatter and smoother surface, absorbing just enough water to allow the styling products to set the curls and keep them intact. We recommend using a paper towel.
After thoroughly rinsing out One Condition, evenly apply a generous amount of B'Leave-In Curl Volumizer to your curls. Then follow the instructions listed below:
*For tight and dehydrated curls: apply B'Leave-In in both hands in an upward scrunching motion to distribute the product evenly and to begin encouraging the curl. If you desire a looser curl then apply B'Leave-In by gliding your fingers through the hair in a downward motion. *For wavy hair: apply B'Leave-In in both hands and use an upward scrunching motion to distribute the product evenly .
Angell is a clear, light weight, moisturizing and curl defining gel. It crystallizes the wet curl formation until it dries, protecting it from outside interferences such as wind which can cause friction & frizz when agitated.
*Use DevaCare Arc Angell for medium to firm hold curls.
Directions: Leaning forward, begin by removing excess water from the hair by gently scrunching in an upward motion towards the scalp and then again with a paper towel. After evenly distributing your selected stylers, scrunch again to encourage the curls. Then, bring your curls to an upright position and let the curls fall naturally.
Using Angell is a very important step as it provides maximum frizz protection, moisture and curl definition. Product usage amount is determined by hair thickness, length and dehydration level.
Directions:Evenly distribute a palm-full of Angell between both hands. Tilt head forward and scrunch hair using an upward spring motion toward the scalp to cultivate the curls. Allow the curls to dry naturally or dry them using our newly patented DevaFuser and DevaSun Dryer. Remember, we recommend using more rather than less product as most hair requires the extra moisture and curl definition that Angell delivers.
Curls will initially dry to a hardened crystallized cast. However, as soon as you scrunch your curls, the cast will dissolve leaving your curls feeling soft, bouncy and enlivened. The more you scrunch the more volume and curl expansion you will create. The less you scrunch (just enough to dissolve the cast) the more defined and less volume your curls will have.
*Touching the hair before the Angell crystallizes will defeat the purpose of curl definition and create unwanted frizz!
Use Mist-er Right, Deva's lavender infused curl revitalizer, refresher and rejuvenator for all curl types. Use on wet or dry curls.

After applying Angell, insert the DevaClips close to the scalp around the crown of your head to create volume and lift. Once the hair is dry, remove the DevaClips and shake the curls by inserting your fingers at your scalp and shaking out the roots. In the menu bar, click on DevaFuser and DevaSun Drying instructions and locate the guide to using the Devaclips.
Set It Free is a 24-48 hour moisture lock mist infused with bees wax and olive oil. It provides additional frizz control, moisture, body and curl definition. Set It Free can be used on wet or dry curls.
*For fine hair: we do not recommend repeated usage throughout the day as too much beeswax may cause this hair type to feel heavy.
This lavender infused curl revitalizer, refresher and rejuvenator helps enliven even the most delicate and tired curls. Tilt head from side to side. Then spray and scrunch gently in an upward spring motion toward the scalp. Use daily if needed. Mist-er Right will not leave your curls hard or crunchy
