What is Curlaboration?

Curlaboration is a workshop designed and hosted by DevaConcepts, directed towards the intelligent, forward thinking hair designer who is eager to learn the latest cutting, coloring, cleansing and styling techniques specifically targeted for the curly/wavy client. Curlaboration is a one of a kind training program that teaches the revolutionary Deva method for cutting curly hair. This approach removes the need for using any cutting tool other than a scissor. We teach cutting the hair dry, in its natural form, curl by curl, and sculpting the hair with the use of basic hairdressing skills. More importantly, this unique cutting innovation allows us to trust our intuitive eye and cut the clients hair with the utmost confidence.

Equally as unique and innovative, is the method of Pintura, Deva’s patented hair painting technique designed to capture, emphasize, and define the movement and dynamism of each curl. Stylists will learn to trust their own artistic eye to create the perfect harmony and balance between tone and shape, light and shadow, within the hair. The final result – the synergy of the sculpting, cutting technique and the artistic highlighting technique, is a three-dimensional work of art.

Curlaboration Enrollment (one-day course):

Fee is $395 per stylist for the one-day course.

• Cancellations made less than 14 days prior to event are subject to a charge of 50% of the class fee ($175)
